SCOTTISH CHAMPIONSHIP 2010 NEARS ITS CONCLUSION

The Penultimate Championship round for the NKRA Scottish Championship took place in wet conditions at Banff circuit near Aberdeen.
For the second time in a row Jack Braisford and Jordan Donaldson scored light to flag wins in their respective Cadet classes. Moving up the age range Frazer Huntley and Robbie Dalgleish achieved the same in their Junior sections. In Junior Blue Blair Campbell scored well to promote himself from 5^th to 3^rd overall. Connor Robson also had a strong day, moving himself up from 9^th to 6^th in the Championship.

Fraser Wallace won the Formula Blue class, closing down on Douglas Simpson who finished 2^nd. Simpson now leads the Championship by 3 points going in to the last Round.

Ian Brown leads the Top Weight section by 6 points from Steve Barlow. Stuart Gray is in front of Brown in the Master group and leads Steve Barlow in the Veteran section.

In the all important Aqua-Sky Blue Challenge Robbie Dalgleish is well clear at the front of Junior Blue. Callum Millar and Blair Campbell taking up the chase. In the Seniors, it is the reigning Champion, Fraser Wallace, who holds a narrow lead over Douglas Simpson with Alan Young in 3^rd. In the Masters it is Stuart Gray who leads Ian Brown and Steve Barlow. Gray also leads Barlow in the Veteran group. Ian Brown takes over the lead in the Top Weight section from Steve Barlow.

The final round for the Scottish Championship takes place at larkhall on the 18^th July as does Round 7 of the Aqua-Sky Blue Challenge.
