SOUTHERN CHAMPS REACHES ITS CONCLUSION

The  fifth and final NKRA Southern Round at Clay Pigeon produces the Regional Champions for 2010.

Harry Williams with a light to flag win in Cadet Comer clinched the title.  Harrison Thomas gave him a good run to take second overall.  Third and Fourth were Bradley Drowne and Matteo Zanetti.

Robbie Gallier had to share the points with Billy Monger on the day  in Honda Cadet but ended as Champion overall. George Thomson maintained his Series 2nd place ahead of Charlie Harris and Ari White.

Although Macauley Austin won the Minimax race the Championship results went to James Williams with Peter Griffin claiming 2nd overall.   The absence of George Lovell handed the Rotax Max class results to Jake Sturt, whose fine weekend saw him snatch the Championship from Luke Gee.

In the Junior Blue Challenge a flawless performance from Ben Pearson allowed him to wrest the lead away from Ashley Goodliffe.  Though Goodliffe was unable to match Pearson, he did suceed in keeping Ryan Edgecumbe at bay.

A dominant performance by Craig Copland in Formula Blue,  the strongest NKRA grid of the weekend, say him extend his overall lead.  Behind Copeland a rejuvenated Duncan McLeod saw off the attentions of David Washington and Kevin Ford.  McLeod also heads the Master and Top Weight sections from Ford and Steve Cullen respectively.   A much improved Ron Shone widened the gap in the Veteran group from Robin Stoddart- Stones.

Although the NKRA regionals are now over,  the Junior and Formula Blue Challenges have one more Round at Forest Edge on August 1st.  Then its all on to the Grande Finals weekend at LLandow at the end of August.
